In-Person Guitar Lessons
with Deanne Newkirk
- Deanne offers In-Person Guitar Lessons at her Home Studio in Calgary and also via Skype. Guitar lessons run from the beginning of September through to the end of June. Private and Semi-Private lessons are available to both children and adults.
- Deanne follows-up each lesson with a summary of material covered including attachments for lesson plans and song charts. Deanne is also available via text or email if students have questions between lessons.
- Weekly 30-Minute Lessons - $110/Month
- Payment is due the 1st of the Month via cash or e-transfer
In-Person Guitar Lessons

- Deanne meets each student where they are at in terms of experience and skill level. If this means starting right at the beginning with guitar and music – then that is perfect. If you have played guitar in the past and are wishing to get back into playing – then we will dust off your skills, fill in the gaps and keep moving forward. Deanne always tries to incorporate some of the music that you love into lessons. She also creates opportunities for students to play in front of small groups should you so wish. Each lesson is followed-up with an email with the material covered and helpful guidance. Students are responsible for printing the material and placing it into a binder at home. If you know of other adults or children who may be interested in lessons – referrals very much appreciated!

Lesson Policies
No Make-Up Lessons except in circumstances where:
Guitar teacher cancels a lesson
The lesson lands on a stat holiday
The student experiences a death in the family
The student has a scheduled surgery
Deanne will track where students are at in the Lesson Plans and will share Lesson Plan .PDF and Song Charts with students. Deanne is available via mobile, text or email if students have questions between lessons.
